Do you have a hedge which runs beside a footway?

The Parish Council have received complaints regarding hedgerows which are overhanging the footpath. This causes problems for pedestrians, especially those with prams or elderly people with walking aids or wheelchairs.

If your hedge is one of the offenders please get your garden shears out and trim the hedge back. Low branches of trees are also a danger and should be cut back to above head height at the trunk.

You may also need to get your spade out! Banks which protrude over the footway are also a problem. Please cut these back to the edge of the footway hard surface.

Thank you
