Great Massingham has a large hall which is used for a variety of village functions, from plays and pantomimes, through to dances, musical entertainment and sports events. It is also available for private hire. Contact the Village Hall Management for details.

The Village Hall is also home to The Great Massingham Multi-Sports Club encompassing tennis and netball, as well as the bowls and football clubs. Click the menu on the right hand side of this page for more details on the sports on offer.

Fund-raising

In previous years, under the leadership of our Chairman Andrew Bickerton, the Multi Sports Club has put on very successful pantomimes, murder mystery plays and talent contests.

This activity is very important for tennis for example; without it we could not have resurfaced the courts, or have built up the funds we will need in the future for other improvement projects.  The Club has also funded the installation of lighting in the Village Hall and the rebuilding of the stage.

In 2011 our fund-raising enthusiasts are planning a Ceilidh, a Murder Mystery, a Race Night and an Old Time Music Hall to raise funds to protect the tennis court surfaces.

(We want to apply a binder coat to the existing surfaces and repaint them.)

The Club has DVDs of previous Pantomimes and Old Time Musicals for sale at ￡10 each.
