Tea Shop now open! Come and see….
THE CARTSHED TEA ROOM IS NOW OPEN… We are delighted to be able to announce The Cartshed tearoom opened on 21st August (takeaway initially). We are located behind Massingham Stores & Post Office, (a short scenic walk down Church Lane between the church and Massingham Stores) where we have converted an old cart shed (hence the name) into a cosy tearoom and would love you to come and enjoy coffee, cake, breakfast, lunch or an afternoon tea with us.
The ingredients we will use are locally sourced and will be freshly cooked to order. All of our delicious cakes will be handmade on the premises, in fact, some of you might have tasted Suzie’s cakes before…and if you haven’t we can’t wait for you to sample them! We will also have cheese scones made to the recipe of our dear and late friend, Nancy Kellogg.
Every morning we will be offering grilled breakfasts with a veggie option and for lunch we’ll be serving our very own Cartshed Platters, sandwiches and flatbread options, baked potatoes, salads and lots more.
On our hot drinks menu, you will be able to enjoy our very own Cartshed coffee blend using Amazonas espresso coffee beans, which are 100% Arabica Rain Forest Alliance certified. Plus, did we mention the award-winning hot chocolate by the Kokoa Collection from Norfolk? And of course, we couldn’t be a tearoom without tea, so you’ll be able to enjoy a pot of organic tea in an array of blends from the Ever-so-English Breakfast to a Proper Peppermint.
There will be a kids menu for children aged 11 and under, a loyalty card for our regular customers too. We will be open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
We will be handing out a promotional flyer that includes an introductory offer to enjoy a free coffee (or tea!) on us, when you order any item off the breakfast or lunch menu.
It goes without saying, that the last few months has been a strange and challenging time for all of us and we will initially launch The Cartshed as a takeaway service only, with a slightly reduced menu offering. Then, once there is a further easing of the COVID-19 social distancing measures, we will be able to boast seating for around 40 people.
